Thank you mama

More from double exposure roll below. First exposure shot in Puerto Rico back in March, second exposure shot in Panama last week. In collaboration with Jesselle Arias.  #filmisnotdead

What you see here is an experimental double exposure set I did in collaboration with Jesselle Arias. The first exposure we shot in Puerto Rico back in March and the second exposure was shot in Panama last week. Both exposures were shot with two separate 35mm cameras.  Enjoy.

”Just imagine for a day that you do not know anything, that what you believe could be completely false. Let go of your preconceptions and even your most cherished beliefs. Experiment. Force yourself to hold the opposite opinion or see the world through your enemy’s eyes. Listen to the people around you with more attentiveness. See everything as a source for education—even the most banal encounters. Imagine that the world is still full of mystery. ” -Robert Greene

Strangers are just friends we haven´t met yet.

It´s my last day in Panama and this quote couldn´t ring so true. The past few days after coming to my hostel after hours of exploring the ins and outs of the city I find myself sitting at a table with a man from Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, The Netherlands and Guatemala. It wasn´t until then that I realized I´m your typical Puerto Rican girl from the Bronx that doesn´t speak a lick of spanish. Instead of giving up on learning their stories we chugged beer, shared laughs and communicated the only way we know how. Body language.

It’s funny how everyday I’m beginning to feel more alive. A growing consciousness within my(self). Wanting less feeling more … It’s like I’m becoming more aware that I am a vessel in this life allowing all things to happen. Sometimes we feel insignificant to the masses without realizing that every path we cross changes the universe of another. And you may think it is all just a coincidence but thats your mental condensing the universe into something easier for your understanding.
